Dear colleague,

In accordance with the schedule of meetings and conferences approved by the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS) for 2003, the Institute of Atmospheric Optics SB RAS (Tomsk) organizes XIV Symposium on High Resolution Molecular Spectroscopy (HighRus-2003). HighRus-2003 will be held on July 6-11 of 2003 onboard the Aleksandr Matrosov ship cruising on the River Yenisei along the route Krasnoyarsk - Yeniseisk - Krasnoyarsk. The deadlines for submitting registration forms and papers to HighRus-2003 are extended to April 30.

lease submit abstracts before April 30, 2003 to S. Mikhailenko by e-mail: semen@lts.iao.ru. Abstracts should be prepared in Microsoft Word for Windows, PDF, PostScript format or as an ASCII text file. An abstract (including title, list of authors, text, figures, and references) must fit up to two A4 pages (11pt Times New Roman typeface, all text single-spaced).

No later than May 20 of 2003 the authors of submitted papers will be informed about the form of presentation (oral or poster). Abstract of papers will be published before the beginning of HighRus-2003.

The papers submitted at HighRus-2003 will be published in the specialized issue of PROCEEDINGS of SPIE. Therefore, all authors are invited to submit manuscripts in both printed-out and electronic forms to the Organizing Committee. The guidelines on how to prepare the paper for publication can be found on the SPIE Web site http://spie.org/publications/proceedings/manuscripts/. Papers should be up to 12 pages long and written in English.

Since SPIE is one of the sponsors of HighRus-2003, the Organizing Committee encourages the participants to prepare their papers for publication in this issue.
