XXV International Symposium  “Atmospheric and Ocean Optics. Atmospheric Physics” will be held in Novosibirsk in July 1–5, 2019,
by V.E. Zuev Institute of Atmospheric Optics SB RAS,
Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies,
and Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics SB RAS

Five conferences (A, B, C, D, E) will be organized within the Symposium:
A. Molecular Spectroscopy and Atmospheric Radiation Processes
B. Optical Radiation Propagation in the Atmosphere and Ocean
C. Optical Investigation of Atmosphere and Ocean
D. Physics of the troposphere
E. Physics of the middle and upper atmosphere
The program of the Symposium includes plenary, invited, oral and poster presentations.  Time for plenary lectures is 25 minutes + 5 minutes of questions and answers, invited to 15 + 5 min, oral presentations 10 + 5 min. For oral presentations, a laptop (MS Office, Windows) with a multimedia projector is provided. For poster presentations the authors are given an area of 600 x 840 mm² (A1 format in vertical "portrait" performance).
The working languages of the Symposium are Russian and English.
The Symposium includes a competition among young scientists for the best oral report.

 

Publication of the Symposium proceedings

 

The program of the Symposium is published

It is planned to publish a Proceedings of SPIE (The International Society for Optical Engineering http://spiedl.org/) in electronic form.
A special issue of the open-access journal Atmosphere (SCI journal, impact factor: 1.704) is planned. The publication price is 1400 Swiss francs per paper; the price is 20 % reduced for the participants of the XXV International Symposium “Atmospheric and Ocean Optics. Atmospheric Physics”. 
The papers prepared following the MDPI rules (Instructions for Authors) are to be submitted on the website of the special issue of the journal https://www.mdpi.com/journal/atmosphere/special_issues/Atmos_Ocean_Optics
before November 15, 2019.
Proceedings of SPIE (The International Society for Optical Engineering http://spiedl.org/) with the reports presented at the XXV International Symposium “Atmospheric and Ocean Optics. Atmospheric Physics” will be published in electronic form.
A manuscript in English corresponding to the SPIE rules  (https://symp.iao.ru/en/aoo/25/auxinfo; http://spie.org/conferences-and-exhibitions/authors-and-presenters/format-your-manuscript-multimedia-files-and-references) should be submitted on the website http://spie.org/paper-submission-aoo19?SSO=1 before July 10, 2019.
Venue
The Symposium will be held at the Siberian state University of geosystems and technologies https://sgugit.ru/en/  (10 Plakhotny Str., Novosibirsk).
Travel from the railway station "Novosibirsk main" – by bus number 14, 64, 79 in the direction of the railway South-West to the stop "Monument of Glory".
From the airport - by bus № 112, 312 to the stop "Monument of Glory".
The Symposium will be opened on July 1 at 09.30 in the Assembly hall of the University. Registration of participants will be held on June 30 from 14.00 to 16.00 and July 1 from 08.30.
Field meetings and excursions
The participants of the Symposium will have a sightseeing bus tour of the city on July 5 and a boat trip on the Ob river On July 3.
Participants of the conference book accommodation in the hotel on their own.
